Accessibility

The BäderBetriebe Frankfurt GmbH strives to design its website in compliance with applicable accessibility regulations, in particular the requirements of the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2). The goal is to provide easy access to the information and services on our website for everyone, regardless of their abilities.

Status of accessibility

This website is partially accessible. The WCAG 2.2 requirements at conformance level AA are largely met. We are continuously working to further improve the accessibility of the content.

Accessibility measures

  • Texts and content: We strive to use clear and understandable texts that are easy to read.
  • Alternative text for images: All relevant images and graphics are provided with descriptive alternative text to make them easier for people with visual impairments to use.
  • Contrasts and font sizes: The colors and contrasts of the website were chosen to be clearly visible and accessible to all users.
  • Keyboard usability: The website can be navigated entirely using the keyboard, even without a mouse.
  • Forms and interactive elements: All forms on the website are designed to be easy to understand and accessible.

Barriers that still exist

Despite our efforts, some content on our website may not yet be fully accessible. This applies to:

  • More complex graphics or charts that may not yet be fully equipped with text alternatives.
  • Text reading difficulty is still at an increased level in places

We are working to identify these barriers and gradually eliminate them.
